ROMAN BAS-RELIEF MARBLE PANEL OF A HEAD IN PROFILE Ca. AD 1 - 100. A white marble panel depicting the head and neck of a young maiden in profile, with an archaic smile and her gaze directed forward. Her hair is held by a flat headband and gathered at the nape. A paper label on the reverse identifies the figure as "Terpsichore", one of the nine Muses.
