ROMAN BRONZE BUST OF ANTONINUS PIUS Ca. AD 138 - 161. A bronze bust of Antoninus Pius with the head turned slightly to the right, the gaze directed upward beneath heavy arched brows. The face is modelled with deep-set almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, full lips, and a closely trimmed moustache and beard. Thick locks of hair fall in layered curls across the forehead and around the temples, with further wavy strands over the crown and nape.
