LIFE-SIZE ROMAN BRONZE FOOT FROM A STATUE OF AN EMPEROR OR GENERAL Ca. AD 1 - 200. A cast bronze right foot from a statue, wearing a sandal with an open toe and high ankle guard. The foot is set upon a thick sole, with individually modelled toes beneath crossing straps secured by studs. For similar see: Bonhams, Antiquities, 28 November 2018, Lot 71. Size: 220mm x 300mm; Weight: 4.8kg Provenance: From a private UK collection; acquired on the European art market in the 1990s. Previously in the collection of Michel Dumez-Onof,1960's.
