RARE ROMAN TERRACOTTA OSTRAKON WITH GREEK INSCRIPTION Ca. AD 100 - 300. A terracotta ostrakon of rhomboid shape, inscribed in black ink with horizontal lines of Greek text, a private letter from Thaisas to his brother Orion. For similar see: British Museum number 1988,1005.2 Size: 135mm x 125mm; Weight: 205g Provenance: From a private London collection; Previously in an important Belgian private collection 1970's; Ex Hassani in Luxor 1970's. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
