RARE ELAMITE SILVER-GILT BEAKER WITH TREE OF LIFE FLANKED BY RAMPANT STAGS Ca. 2500 - 1500 BC. A silver-gilt beaker with a rounded lower body, tapering cylindrical wall, and everted rim. The exterior is decorated in relief with a stylised tree of life rising from a scale-patterned mound and flanked by rampant stags. Each stag has an elongated body, backward-turned head, ribbed horns, and chased details to the body. For similar see: Christie's, Live Auction 1174, Antiquities, Lot 14.
