RARE GILT-BRONZE WEIGHT IN THE SHAPE OF A SEATED BEAR Han Dynasty, Ca. 206 BC - AD 220. A gilt-bronze weight cast as a seated bear with a heavy body and spread hind legs. The head is lowered towards the chest, with rounded ears, almond-shaped eyes and a tapered muzzle. Its left forepaw rests on the left knee, and the right foreleg extends beside the body.
