CHINESE TERRACOTTA COURT LADY - TL TESTED Han Dynasty, Ca. 202 BC - AD 220. A moulded terracotta figure depicting an elegantly attired court lady standing upright in a composed frontal pose. She wears a long, voluminous robe falling to a widely flared hem, with broad sleeves enveloping the arms and the hands held together before the body. The overlapping collar and edges of the garments retain traces of pigment, contrasting with the pale surface of the robe. Size: 650mm x 260mm; Weight: 8.07kg Provenance: East Anglian private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
