MATCHING PAIR OF EGYPTIAN BRONZE AND STONE SARCOPHAGUS EYES WITH EYEBROWS Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC.
A pair of sarcophagus eyes, each with an elongated almond-shaped bronze frame with tapering outer ends, enclosing a white stone sclera and black stone iris, accompanied by thin arched eyebrows. For similar see: Museo archeologico di Firenze, inv. 2419ab.

Provenance: Private UK collection; previously part of an Oxfordshire ancient art collection; acquired from a Canadian collection formed between the 1970s and 2000.
