A pair of sarcophagus eyes, each with a bronze frame with a rounded upper lid and straight lower edge, enclosing a white stone sclera set with a large black stone iris. For similar see: Museo archeologico di Firenze, inv. 2419ab. Size: 30-30mm x 60-60mm; Weight: 60g Provenance: Private UK collection; previously part of an Oxfordshire ancient art collection; acquired from a Canadian collection formed between the 1970s and 2000.
