STUNNING PAIR OF ETRUSCAN ARYBALLOI WITH RUNNING HOUNDS Ca. 625 - 575 BC. A pair of terracotta aryballoi, each with an inverted piriform body tapering to a narrow base, a short neck, a broad flat disc mouth, and a single vertical loop handle. The shoulder of each vessel is decorated with a frieze of running hounds. Dense horizontal bands encircle the body, with broader dark bands around the lower section and concentric rings on the disc mouth.
