Description
LYDIAN BRONZE JUG WITH EROS IN HIGH RELIEF Ca. 300 - 100 BC.
A bronze jug with a globular body, flat base, cylindrical neck, and broad collar around the rim. Moulded rings encircle the shoulder. A small animal-head protome projects from the front of the body. The rear strap handle rises from an attachment plate with a figure of Eros in high relief, below a ribbed vertical handle and thumb rest.
