ROMAN SILVER SPOUT WITH GODDESS BUST Ca. AD 1 - 300. A figural silver spout modelled as a goddess bust, with a tubular outlet rising above the head, encircled by a raised collar and ending in an everted mouth. The bust has a rounded face, almond-shaped eyes, and centrally parted hair swept back. The neck expands into a flared base beneath the bust. Size: 90mm x 35mm; Weight: 65g Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly H.G. collection; acquired from A. Kotllar, Paris, French art market, 1970Ð2006.
