ROMANO-EGYPTIAN BRONZE BES FIGURINE Ca. 30 BC - AD 200.
A bronze figurine of Bes squatting with the feet set apart and the hands resting on the knees. The corpulent body is bent forward beneath the lowered head. The broad face has prominent ears, a flattened nose, and a full beard. For similar see: Le colletion des Musee Carnevalet, n. 9, p.56
