BYZANTINE BRONZE INCENSE BURNER WITH CHAINS Ca. AD 500 - 600.
A bronze incense burner with a deep hemispherical bowl on a low ring foot. The exterior is decorated with closely spaced vertical ribs beneath a plain rim. Three suspension loops secure long linked chains gathered beneath a domed fitting with a baluster finial and terminal loop. For similar see: British Museum number
