BRONZE AGE BRONZE STANDARD WITH MASTER OF ANIMALS FLANKED BY RAMPANT ANIMALS Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A bronze standard with a long cylindrical shaft divided by raised collars and tapering upward to an openwork janiform finial arranged vertically with three human figures, one above the other. The two upper figures grasp flanking animals by the necks. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 32.161.6. Size: 400mm x 70mm; Weight: 485g Provenance: From a private UK collection; previously held by I.H., whose collection was assembled from the 1970s onwards.
