SUMERIAN URUK (OR LATER) STONE STATUE OF A MALE WORSHIPPER WITH INLAID EYES Ca. 2900 - 2500 BC (or later). A stone statue of a bearded male worshipper standing with his hands clasped before his chest. He wears a long garment falling to the flat base. The hair and rectangular beard are carved in wavy locks, and the large eyes are set with inlays. Size: 115mm x 60mm; Weight: 240g Provenance: Private British collection; formerly in the H.G. collection; ex A. Kotllar, Paris, French market, 1970Ð2006.
