BACTRIAN CHLORITE JAR INLAID WITH SNAKE MOTIFS Ca. 3000 - 2500 BC.
A chlorite jar with a cylindrical body, a short funnel-shaped neck, and a broad everted rim. The body is carved in relief with entwined serpents, each with recessed circular and oval cells for inlays. Raised bands encircle the shoulder and foot.
