Description
DAUNIAN TERRACOTTA FUNNEL KRATER WITH GEOMETRIC DECORATION Ca. 550 - 400 BC.
A terracotta funnel krater with a globular body and a broad flaring mouth. The shoulder is fitted with two arched handles alternating with two hand-shaped protomai. The vessel is encircled with horizontal registers of linear ornament, with pendant semicircles around the lower section and dark detailing on the rim and handles.

Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in France (early 2000s); previously in a Swiss private collection formed during the 1980sÐ1990s.
