PHOENICIAN TERRACOTTA ASTARTE FIGURINE Ca. 600 - 400 BC.
A terracotta figurine of Astarte, standing with the legs together and the feet set on a low base. The body is modelled with a narrow waist, rounded breasts, and arms descending at the sides. The head is encircled by a broad headdress framing the face, with a broad collar across the chest.

Provenance: From a private UK collection; earlier purchased on the London art market in the 1980s.
