PAIR OF GREEK SILVER PLAQUES WITH FLOWERS FRAMED BY ROPE MOTIFS Ca. 500 - 300 BC.
A pair of silver plaques, each of rectangular form with a central field decorated with a four-petalled flower. Rope borders frame the field, with rounded corner loops. The edges are decorated with small birds in relief, and each plaque has a rectangular attachment tab above.
Size: 125-125mm x 100-105mm; Weight: 85g
Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly H.G. collection; acquired from A. Kotllar, Paris, French art market, 1970Ð2006.
