STUNNING LATE ROMAN RIBBED GLASS BALSAMARIUM WITH APPLIED TRAIL DECORATION Ca. AD 300 - 500.
A dark glass balsamarium with a spreading disc foot and an ovoid ribbed body tapering to a tall neck and broad flaring mouth. An applied glass trail encircles the neck and continues upward to form the twin loop handles. Further trails are applied across the mid-body.
Size: 125mm x 50mm; Weight: 95g
Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier present on the French art market in the 1980s.
