CELTIC BRONZE ANTHROPOMORPHIC FITTING Ca. 200 BC - AD 100.
A bronze anthropomorphic fitting with a broad stylised head above an elongated neck. The face has a prominent nose, large eyes, and a narrow mouth, with the ears projecting at the sides. The neck is decorated with bands of incised horizontal lines.
Size: 50mm x 25mm; Weight: 90g
Provenance: Private collection of a Cambridgeshire gentleman; formerly with Allison Barker, 1990sÐ2007.
