CELTIC BRONZE SOCKETED AXE HEAD Ca. 900 - 700 BC.
A bronze socketed axe head with a compact body widening gradually from the rounded socket mouth to a broad curved cutting edge. A raised longitudinal rib extends along each cheek. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number 1900,1112.20.
