COLLECTION OF UMAYYAD GLASS VESSELS Ca. AD 800 - 950. A collection of three glass vessels, including, from left to right: a dark blue glass flask with a bulbous body, tall neck and flaring mouth, decorated with applied looping trails and set on a pincered foot; an amber glass bottle with an ovoid body, short neck and folded rim, encircled by thick green trails arranged in vertical loops; and a blue-green glass flask with a spherical body, tall neck and flaring mouth, decorated with concentric trails around the shoulder and a broad zigzag trail above a pincered foot. Size: 90-100mm x 60-65mm; Weight: 180g Provenance: Private British collection; formerly in the H.G. collection; ex A. Kotllar, Paris, French market, 1970Ð2006.
