SYRO-HITTITE TERRACOTTA BIRD IDOL Ca. 2nd millennium BC.
A terracotta idol with a tall columnar body, flaring foot, and arms bent across the torso. The neck supports a bird-like head with a beaked nose and large circular eyes. A broad collar covers the chest, composed of four incised rows. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 59.125.
