MESOPOTAMIAN STONE BULL-SHAPED PENDANT Ca. 3300 - 2900 BC.
A stone pendant carved as a recumbent bull, with a compact body, folded legs, and the head turned back. The head has a circular eye, short horns, and a tapering muzzle. Incised lines mark the shoulder, haunch, and legs. A suspension hole is pierced through the back. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 59.41.33.
