COLLECTION OF INDUS VALLEY TERRACOTTA LIDS AND STOPPERS Ca. 2500 - 2000 BC.
A collection of four terracotta lids and stoppers, including, from top, then lower left to lower right: a lid with a flaring body, broad rim, and central knop; a cylindrical stopper with flat upper and lower faces and straight sides; a rounded stopper with a narrow circular opening; and a painted lid with a shallow dish-shaped body and central knop, decorated with an encircling serpent with a hatched body.
