GRAECO-BACTRIAN BASKET-SHAPED STONE PYXIS Ca. 300 BC. A stone pyxis with a cylindrical basket-shaped body divided into two registers of broad vertical fluting. The fitted lid has a scalloped edge and concentric bands of radiating ribbed petals centred by a circular boss. Size: 90mm x 140mm; Weight: 1.1kg Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly H.G. collection; acquired from A. Kotllar, Paris, French art market, 1970Ð2006.
