LARGE NEO-BABYLONIAN STONE DUCK WEIGHT Ca. 800 - 600 BC. A weight carved from stone in the stylised form of a resting duck. The head is tucked back over the body, merging smoothly into the curved upper surface. The base is flat. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number 91440. Size: 80mm x 50mm; Weight: 230g Provenance: Private British collection; previously held in the I.H. collection, established in the 1970s.
