LARGE NEO-BABYLONIAN STONE DUCK WEIGHT Ca. 800 - 600 BC. A weight carved from black stone in the stylised form of a resting duck with incised wing outlines along the sides. The head is tucked back over the body, merging smoothly into the curved upper surface. The base is flat. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number 91440. Size: 70mm x 40mm; Weight: 130g Provenance: Private British collection; previously held in the I.H. collection, established in the 1970s.
