CHINESE BRONZE MIRROR Han Dynasty, Ca. 202 BC - AD 220 or later. A circular bronze mirror cast in relief, centred by a domed suspension knob and decorated with an intricate arrangement of stylised mythical beasts amidst scrolling and linear motifs. The broad outer register is further decorated with a continuous band of intertwined zoomorphic and scrolling motifs. Size: 180mm x 180mm; Weight: 835g Provenance: UK private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong.
