CHINESE HAN DYNASTY TERRACOTTA JAR - TL TESTED Ca. 202 BC - AD 220. A terracotta jar with a globular body, rounded shoulder, short neck, and thick rim. Horizontal bands encircle the midsection and lower body. Ring handles are attached at the sides below incised taotie masks. The vessel stands on three short moulded legs with animal-mask terminals. Size: mm x mm; Weight: g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in London in the early 2000s; formerly with the Verite collection, Paris, France, formed in the 1970s.
