CHINESE TERRACOTTA FEMALE MUSICIAN - TL TESTED Tang Dynasty, Ca. AD 618 - 907. A moulded terracotta figure depicting a female musician standing in a composed frontal pose, holding a cymbal before her chest. She is dressed in a long, flowing robe with wide sleeves, falling in gentle folds towards the flared base. The face is delicately modelled with almond-shaped eyes, arched brows and a small mouth, while the hair is gathered into a high coiffure. Size: 360mm x 105mm; Weight: 1.26kg Provenance: UK private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong.
