COLLECTION OF CHINESE FUNERARY CERAMIC PIG FIGURES Ming Dynasty, Ca. AD 1368 - 1644. A collection of three pottery figures, each naturalistically modelled as a standing pig upon a rectangular integral base. The animals are depicted with robust, rounded bodies supported on short legs, with pronounced snouts, small ears and incised facial details. Each is covered predominantly in a rich green glaze. Size: 125-125mm x 90-95mm; Weight: 1.1kg Provenance: East Anglian private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong.
