Description
EGYPTIAN FAIENCE BROAD COLLAR WITH LEAVES, PETALS AND FRUIT. Amarna Period, Ca. 1353 - 1336 BC. A broad faience collar composed as a crescent-shaped pectoral, with cobalt blue glazed rectangular terminals pierced to receive four bead strings. Each string is threaded with small annular and elongated tubular beads. The strands are linked transversely by polychrome pendants in the shape of leaves, floral petals, and fruits, arranged in vertical groups across the field.
