STUNNING HELLENISTIC GOLD RING WITH CARNELIAN INTAGLIO OF MARITIME NYMPH. Ca. 200 - 1 BC. A superb gold ring with a broad tapering hoop and an oval bezel set with a carnelian intaglio engraved with a standing maritime nymph in profile, draped in a long chiton falling in narrow vertical folds, with her hair bound up.
