Description
GRAECO-BACTRIAN GOLD GRANULATED PENDANT WITH AGATE. Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A gold pendant with a domed upper section above a conical body, decorated with wire bands and clusters of granulation. The lower end is set with a pointed agate terminal. The pendant is surmounted by a knop, above which is a ribbed suspension loop with beaded collars. Size: 42mm x 15mm; Weight: 9.6g Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in France (early 2000s); previously in a Swiss private collection formed during the 1980s–1990s. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
