RARE ROMAN AGATE CAMEO OF MEMENTO MORI IN GOLD PENDANT. Ca. AD 1 - 300. A two-layered agate cameo carved in relief with three skeletons standing frontally on a groundline, the central figure larger and flanked by two smaller figures. The stone is set in an oval gold pendant with a plain mount and a notched edge, with a suspension loop above. The reverse is plain and flat. Size: 23mm x 15mm; Weight: 3.8g Provenance: From a private London collection; earlier held in an old family collection formed over the period 1960s–2000. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
