ROMAN HIGH KARAT GOLD RING WITH CARNELIAN INTAGLIO OF MARCUS AURELIUS.
Ca. AD 175 - 195.
A gold ring with a rounded hoop tapering towards the back and an oval bezel set with a carnelian intaglio engraved with the profile head of Marcus Aurelius, with thick curly hair, a full beard, and drapery at the shoulder.
