ROMAN AGATE CAMEO OF A RAMPANT HORSE IN GOLD RING.

An agate cameo carved with a rampant horse in a white layer on a brown ground, rearing above a groundline, set in a possibly later gold ring with an oval bezel mount and broad tapering shoulders.

Provenance: Private London collection; previously in an Austrian private collection dating to the 1980s–early 1990s.
