A carnelian cameo carved with the head of Minerva in profile, wearing a crested helmet, set in a possibly later gold ring with a circular scalloped bezel, angular shoulders with raised V-shaped motifs, and a carinated hoop. For similar ring see: The British Museum, Museum number 1917,0501.801. Size: D:18.34mm / US: 8 1/4 / UK: Q; Weight: 11.7g Provenance: London private collection; ex UK ancient art collection; ex H. Cutting collection, Cambridge (1980s–early 2000s).
