LATE ROMAN GOLD RING WITH AMETHYST INTAGLIO OF A SATYR.
Ca. AD 200 - 400.
A gold ring with a round-section hoop and a circular bezel with a broad raised collar above a conical bezel cell, set with a circular amethyst intaglio engraved with the profile head of a satyr with flowing hair and beard.
