INDUS VALLEY WHITE STONE STAMP SEAL WITH BISON - ORIGINAL LAMBERT REPORT. Ca. 2300 BC. A white stone stamp seal in the form of a square plaque with a pierced handle on the back. The design on the face shows a standing “bison” with head up, and beneath the head cultic utensils or symbols. A row of script symbols appears along the top. Size: 32mm x 32mm; Weight: 17g Provenance: Private London collection of an Ancient Art dealer; formerly in a central London family collection, 1990s; examined by Wilfrid George Lambert in the late 1980s–early 1990s; ex UK art market, 1970s–early 1980s.
