EGYPTIAN STONE COWROID WITH DJED PILLAR BETWEEN ANKHS IN GOLD SWIVEL RING. New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A stone cowroid with a smooth convex upper face and a flat underside engraved with a djed pillar between ankh signs. Set in a possibly later gold swivel ring with a round-section hoop and a transverse pivot secured by capped terminals. Size: D:18.95mm / US: 9 / UK: R 1/2; Weight: 6.5g Provenance: London private collection; Paris acquisition; ex Montpellier private collection, 1970s–1990s. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
