EGYPTIAN AGATE SCARAB IN GOLD RING.
Late to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC.
An agate scarab with a semi-circular head, a broad thorax, divided elytra, and a plain underside. Mounted in a gold ring with an oval cell, a round-section shank, and a swivel mechanism with a pivot pin secured by capped terminals.
