EGYPTIAN CARNELIAN SCARAB IN GOLD PENDANT.
Late to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC.
A carnelian scarab with a carved head, divided wing cases, and a plain underside. Mounted in a gold pendant with an oval cell, a round-section shank, and a swivel mechanism with a pivot pin secured by rounded terminals.
Size: 33mm x 23mm; Weight: 6.7g
Provenance: London private collection; Paris acquisition; ex Montpellier private collection, 1970s–1990s.
