EGYPTIAN GOLD PLAQUE WITH A GOD WEARING THE DOUBLE CROWN. Late Period–Ptolemaic Period (ca. 664–30 B.C.) A rectangular gold plaque decorated in repousse with a standing god, possibly Horus or Anubis, wearing the double crown and holding a long staff in his right hand. Pierced for attachment at the upper corners. For similar see: The MET Museum of Art: Museum Number: 24.2.19. Size: 50mm x 25mm; Weight: 3g Provenance: Private London collection; ex private family collection, established mid-20th century and continued until 2000. This piece is accompanied by a report from Lisa Sartini, Egyptologist PHD of Chimera Heritage Consultants. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
