COLLECTION OF HEAVY GREEK GOLD BELT APPLIQUES.
Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A collection of three rectangular gold belt appliques, each decorated on the obverse with repousse bosses arranged in a central panel and in an outer border, framed by twisted wire. The reverses are plain, with three projecting lobes on either side and a pair of suspension loops at the upper edge. Size: 30-30mm x 19-19mm; Weight: 9.2g Provenance: London private collection; Munich acquisition, 1990s. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
