HELLENISTIC CARNELIAN INTAGLIO OF A LION AND LIONESS IN GOLD RING.
Ca. 200 - 100 BC.
A carnelian intaglio engraved with a lion seated to the right above a lioness reclining to the left on a groundline, his forepaws extended over her back. It is set in a possibly later gold ring with a rounded hoop expanding to an oval bezel.
