PHOENICIAN GOLD PENDANT OF NEPHTHYS. Ca. 600 - 400 BC. A gold pendant of Nephthys standing with her right leg advancing on an integral flat base, wearing a tripartite wig and a long, close-fitting sheath dress revealing the navel, with her arms held close to her sides. The hieroglyph of her name rises above her head. A suspension loop is attached at the back. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number EA23426, EA59872. Size: 28mm x 8mm; Weight: 3g Provenance: Private London collection; ex private family collection, established mid-20th century and continued until 2000. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
